Days 11-13 hyderabad

Not too much to report, spend a day blogging, and a bit of rest, the heat is starting to kick in, I'm Browning up well....have morning walks at 6:00am with Sripals dad, meet up with a group of 6-7 guys all doing the same thing, walk and chat... we also do an evening walk later,  it is a little strange..... there is a walking circuit,  I'm guessing, 80-100 metres per lap, tend to walk for 45mins to An hour... in the morning, and about 30 mins in the evening.... ending with a sit down/chat for 10-15 mins... this appears to be normal here... walking is very social-able, also a few of the old timers, have been asking me lots of questions, age, weight, medical conditions, how much I earn, parents age, etc, ended last night.... with one arranged marriage proposal, they are interested in my trip, and very chatty even with limited English...

Visited, another museum, in Hyderabad, no cameras, (no photos), then one section, no cellphones, we came across, a wall hanging, from about 1850... that they said was worth all the money in India... it cost some huge about in 1850... basically it's all gold, with gems everywhere in the design... just a shame I didn't get the name or anymore details... visited the planetarium, with a focus on the Indian mission to mars, was pretty cool, except was all in hindi, (so didn't understand too much...

Another temple visit, this one was about 20 years old, made of "soap stone" seemed like a white marble, no photos again, went though 2 set's of metal detectors, main priest was impressed that I kinda knew what I was doing, with the taking of the water (not sure what it was) to drink, then getting capped with a metal bell type item at the end.

Visited another park, NTR, you had to take your shoes off before entering....(strange I know...) lucky my feet are getting pretty well used to walking barefoot!
Also lucky it was early in the morning.... before the sun got too hot! And burnt my feet!... meet up with a few of the locals who wanted to have there photo taken with me.....is really strange....I just say "I'm from NZ, where they are playing the Cricket" everyone seems pretty happy..

Next visited a lake, hmmm, I can describe it has being a nice slime green look to it, not in a good way.. guessing it's had a huge algal bloom
And!! There was someone swimming in it.... Eeeew....

Next was to visit a park, was 10 rupees to get in... 20 cents nz, atleast there was no foreigner tax here.. just as. I was about to go though the metal detector... my phone goes off....  had to go back to get picked up... and taken to lunch.... which was all you can eat veggie dishes... for $1.60 nzd after that we headed back home...   (getting too hot again)....

Today...5th March, went out to purchase my bus ticket to Narpur, non AC bus, will take 13 hours....  little scared with this one... arrives at Narpur at 4:30am!
Cost 650 rupees, so about $13nzd.... will be interesting if it can match the 24hour bone shocker trip I did from Romania to Czech 4 years ago.... heading off to some fort in a few hours... with divi, one of Raju/Sripals friends.... and picking up the Red Mi note 4, (replacement cellphone) for the N9... also a backup to the tablet failing again.....

$12nzd for 50meg fiber internet here!

Few pictures on Sripals parents place, it's about 4 storeys high, I'm guessing it has 7x 3 bedroom apartments in it... is very nice!!

Also the strange thing in the tree, is a bat, I'm getting it's a fruit bat of some kind, there were 100's of them....

Anyway here are some of the pic's...

  1. I hope that was 12gig and not 12meg. At fiber speeds 50meg would be confused in seconds
