Day 30 Yet another sunrise, and a nice walk to the monsoon palace

Yet another 5:15am start, off for a nice walk to the top of a hill, yeah... stairs! I had done it the previous day! And knew a short cut! Views were pretty well much the same as the previous time, no elephants This time...

After breakfast we headed to the monsoon palace, a nice building on top of a distant hill... it was a 6km walk... up hill, on a nice Indian day (say 34 degrees).. and I kinda forgot to bring water (hopping there would be a store at the base) no water... so we powered on...

After making it  1/2 way to the top, I was pretty well shattered... and remembered, I had a pomegranate still in my bag! What a life saver!! Made it to the top!! Yes! WATER.... views were pretty good.... few photos later... we made it back down...

Also note... we were the only ones stupid enough to walk up... everyone else was going by car.... I found out later.... that Panthers are known to be around the area we were walking.... nice!

Later that night we went to fancy restaurant across from our hotel, I spend 1700 rupees on dinner (like $35-40NZD) which is pretty expensive... the entries was probably the best, well most tasty I've had in India so far..... tandoori roasted veggies...  very yummy, we watched a festival across the late... and back to the hotel to wake up at 5:15am to catch the train to pushkar! Ugh
