Day 9, Flight from Bangalore -> Hyderabad and Indian Wedding "function"

Ok, sorry able the reversed Posts, We flew form Bangalore to Hyderabad, After spending a few hours talking with Raju's & Sripals flatmates Fathers, Very interesting person, he is a scientist, working for the Indian government, specialising, in horticulture with aim's of reducing the amounts of waste with crops, producing different ways to improves production, and storage distribution...

It started to rain in Bangalore before we left.... I have a feeling, it's the rain making power of my "Hungary" cap!... Interesting, when it rains... they cut power to the city.... to prevent damage... ugh... flight was delayed going to Hyderabad, only 30 mins, got in at midnight...

Arrived at Sripals Parents home, to spend some time with them for. Few days...

6am.... Time to go for a walk with Sripals dad... was pretty cool, walked around the block a bit, to a kinda of walking track, met up with Sripals dads Friends, that were also doing the "walking", which ended up as walking/chatting...  was asked was I married.. how much I earn per month, why I wasn't married, and of course!! Questions about the cricket! This country, there are only 2 things... well make that 3, religion, cricket, and rubbish! All were really friendly...

Back home, next stop! The Hyderabad Museum!, was very rushed.... as we were required to the "function" for an Indian wedding (these take several days)

Visited the central Arch, I guess you would call it that in Hyderabad... amazing views, soo many people....

First function, was at a local temple/hall....say...100 people, all pretty friendly met up with the groom, talked a bit with some of his brothers, one was studying in China!! Because it's cheaper to do your masters there!.... had lunch!.... I'm not sure if this is the best country for "weightloss"....

Next, Visit, a local farm, which I believe belonged to one of the brothers, they were starting to grow tomatoes, as well as buffalo grass, also visited a I guess buffalo milking pen... (see the pictures) they were all pretty friendly... even got to give one a scratch on her head!!

NEXT!

The Wedding function, this was for 1500-2500 people, there were around 250 workers setting it all up... if you think of a Marae back home, how it is a well oiled machine, this is to the next level.... the cooking pots, had say, 50kg of chicken, and 50kg of rice, in 1 pot, other pots would have other curry dishes... all getting cooked over a wood fire, the main reception area, the flowers were all done by hand... amazing amounts of preparation, everyone was all pretty happy, I did get into some trouble for taking pictures of the "workers" and was asked to delete there photos... :-/

Anyway the night ended around 11pm... after eating several yummy dishes (started off as veg...) only to have It taken off me! By Sripals dad!!  To get all the meat dishes! (Well when in India!) Food was amazing.... soo many flavours....

Whiskey with the old boys!!, night ended with Sripals dad, introducing me to some of his friends, (some of which I had met earlier during the day while doing the "walking/chatting" bit.... first whiskey,  with water... didn't go down well, I prefer it straight... (which they seemed to be really shocked).. good end to an amazing day!!
