Day 27 jodhpur first the palace, and some other stuff

Yep, this was ment to be a free day, but... we visited some of the same places we had dome the previous day.... the clock tower and central markets.... then the main fort/palace that dominates the town... market was pretty well much the same....  had an egg omelette from an old guy that had been marking omelettes for 42 years.... and yeah, they are pretty good!!  Visited the palace on top.... is impressive... and interesting... these local kings... or Maharaja's  had some cash!!  Design was pretty amazing... to handle attacks from war elephants etc...

Next we headed off to some local villages... it was pretty interesting... the Indian government has been promoting tourism, to theses small villages, giving them in return... POWER, and running water!! And to diversify there reliance on the monsoon weather conditions, these guys... are the ultimate greenies.... they will not chop down trees.. (in one case 300+ villages, died protecting there trees from the local Maharaja, who needed timber for his palace, "was take my head if you take this tree" so atleast 300 locals were beheaded... this was back in the 1600's)  they are pretty friendly... setting up "little mini co-op groups" for the textile industry.... visited a textile factory... was surprised to see semi. Modern sewing machines!.... yeah! Brought some really nice duvet covers... a lot more CASH gone!! Damn!! People, see me and my camera! And it's like!!! Let's get this one!! Found out, the previous encounter was pretty expensive... probably paid over double the price! UGH!... anyway here are the pictures!
